Right in my backyard

Since Julie asked, and since you saw the project in progress, here are a couple photos of the finished product:

pretty little tree
Detail of patio, bench, planter, and misc. tree. In background: fence designed to contain children + dog. All three have now demonstrated ability to escape. Next picture should rightfully be of me setting fire to a stack of $100 bills. It's a pretty fence, though, isn't it? And it keeps the soccer balls on our side of the property line.

the rear view There's the back of the house in all its orangey glory; the benches, the patio, and a bit of the new driveway. And of course, none of it would be complete without the purple Little Mermaid hippity-hop.

Happy weekend. See you Monday.

I'm loving your backyard. It's huge!
Gotta love property values in Mayberry. BTW, Jeff is doing a deal with you know who and probably heading up there in the Fall. We have old work friends in the area, and autumn in lovely in that neck of the woods so I will probably tag along. Would love to see you if I do.

  7. Lovely - and one of the nice things about the fence is that you can see through it. I guess that way you know when the kids/dog have escaped...

  8. A hippity hop! That's my next Toys-R-Us purchase!

C, it's absolutely stunning. The fence, the patio, the planter, the benches.

But how does the dog get out? Can she squeeze through?

  11. Lovely. But how the heck do the kids and the dog escape from that fence? You must be raising a bunch of Houdinis.

Very nice indeed! Eh, sometimes you just need form and not so much function. But it works!

  13. That looks great. I love the house color. The house next to us is orange (more orange than yours, if possible, or mabye just lighter orange) and I love it. Bonus is that I can tell people how to get to our house by saying "it is next to the orange house."
