Out of the beaks of babes
In the car, the conversation turns to birds, varieties thereof. Jo begins to reel off a list: "There's bluebirds, there's peckernoses..."
Jeff nearly veers off the road.
"Um. Peckernoses?" I ask. "OH. Do you mean woodpeckers?"
"Yes!" She replies. "Peckernoses. Because they peck their noses into a tree."

HA! There's no comment I can make appropriate for that one. It's just plain funny.
That is just so funny!!! Don't forget that.
You could also use that term from here on to refer to gossipy people.
Peckernoses works for me! ;)
Awesome! I have to remember that.
Peckernoses. Ahhhhahhahahaha. That made me laugh out loud.
One of Tacy's friends lives in a house with cedar siding that woodpeckers had begun pecking. I think the parents would agree with Jo's assessment - damn peckernoses!
The only comment that I can think to make here is very, very dirty, so I'll refrain...
I love it. I can see why Jeff almost drove off the road hearing that!
HA!
Peckernoses....perhaps that was one of those moments that the experts tell you to wait for to begin the talk about the birds and the bees!!!
just kidding that is hysterical!!!
That is so cute!! She's quite clever!
You need to write these kinds of things down! (well, I guess you alreay did) But otherwise you will totaly forget no matter how memorable you think it is. My husband and I were talking the other day about what my daughter used to say and we couldn't remember it! We were both sad, and vowed to write everything down from now on.
This is going to be my new favorite term of endearment, right up there with dillhole.
