File under: Missing the point entirely

Not me. Her name is Sheryl
Parental Units: C'mon, we're going to the farmer's market.

Kids: Yeah!!! Mini-doughnuts!

PU:
Um. Yes. Also, what else do they have at the farmer's market?

Kids, in chorus:
EGG ROLLS!

Who wants fresh fruits and veggies when they can have doughnuts and egg rolls? No one under six, that's for sure!

Our farmers market often has organic pulled pork sandwiches, yum! Sadly $9 each, so we can't splurge often.

That's OK, my daughter thinks all of the gifts that her grandfather sends her (he lives across the country) are actually from the mailman....

My kids have a similar reaction to the local farmer's market. Whenever we drive by, one of them says, "Look! That's where we get our blueberry muffins!"

Happy belated birthday!

Our farmers market has the most wonderful pastries and breads. Also the guy with the roast chicken cart. And flowers.

And veggies, too, I guess...

The best our farmer's market can do is bread. At least they are fresh donuts!

I got fresh lima beans yesterday and was thrilled--how old do I feel?

Damn fine farmer's market if it has doughnuts and EGG ROLLS!

Dude, I'd be all about the donuts too. At our market the best we get to not-quite-wholesome food is pretzels.

I didn't know that Panda Express had a booth at the Farmer's Market.

Snort...yeah my kids would be all over the processed sugar and fatty treats.

Fresh veggies or fruit? Ha!

I love farmers markets! I don't like going with my children, however.

My dad is a farmer -- do you know how hard it is to keep those egg roll plants alive!? ;)

I have to admit it ... I buy baked goods at the Farmer's Market! :)

Well, you could plant a donut tree in your backyard so the kids don't have to go to the farmer's market..... ;)
