Flattery will get you everywhere

We recently participated in the annual holiday gift for the teachers at our kids' day care center. Today I received the following thank-you from one of Opie's caregivers:

Thank you very much for the Christmas bonus! Opie is so loving and I love seeing his personality develop daily. He's going to be one of the most interesting people in the world! I love teaching him and look forward to seeing him every day. Best wishes for the New Year!

That has to be one of the nicest things a working mom could ever wish to hear.

Awwwww.

It's a great idea to have a group gift, so the teachers end up with fewer mugs saying, "#1 Teacher" or something!

What a nice thing to hear! I'd frame that. ;)

That is wonderful - and an excellent example of why I believe it's worth it to spoil our kids' caregivers. These people care for our children and love them and keep them safe.

That is so cool. Definitely makes things worth it when you get notes like that.

Very nice! It is so wonderful when the caregivers and the parents mesh well.

This is SO cool to hear from the day care teachers, as a fellow working mom I know I always feel like I'm kind of dumping some of the bad stuff on them so to know that they love him and think he's cool, that means a lot. Did you hug her?

That is a nice note. It's obvious Opie is getting good care every day.

I am behind on getting gifts out to my caregivers -- I've had them since way before Christmas too. Oh well, they're probably appreciated at any point.
