It's a toddler's prerogative to change his mind

up to no good Tonight's meltdown: Wanted to sit in a high chair (which he hasn't done since he was about 12 months old). High chair unavailable; booster chair (which he also hasn't used in well over a year) not an acceptable subsitute. Chair with a pillow? Nooooooo! Phone book? "Want Daddy make a high chair!" Ended up switching seats with his very patient sister several times before finally succumbing to the booster.

Last night's: Wanted to listen to Jo's book in Jo's room. NO! NO JO'S BOOK! Okay then. Back to Opie's room. NO! Want Jo's book! Okay, let's go. NO! NO JO'S BOOK! Okay then ... and so forth. Finally Mommy decided NO JO'S BOOK.

Can't wait for tomorrow's Indecision Tantrum!

Oh, can I relate.

Last night, I had the audacity to shut the front door when CJ wanted to do it herself. It ballooned into one heckuva tantrum, culminating in a ridiculously early 5:30pm bedtime.

But "make a high chair"? That's awesome.

I think we have a book called NO NO JO!

Awww the toddler years....when their negotiating tactics are just beginning, if only they knew that negotiation is on both parts.

My favorite toddler tantrums are the preverbal high pitched shrieking kind. I wish mine would say "make a high chair," :)

Been there. Toddlers would make great lawyers - they just pitch fits until they win.

And it doesn't end, does it??

P.s. your CD is getting mailed today, I promise!

We should start using IT as the name of the syndrome. What is IT? Why does IT matter? Stop IT.

Oh how I relate. Carson has such a Jekyll/Hyde personality.

Toddlers remind me of hormonal women with PMS.

Oh we call that a Bad Case of the Overdone Threes here (previously known as Same but with Twos). Nothing is right!

I think three is the age we started reading When Sophie Gets Angry, LOL.

Oh BWAHAHA I just read Magpie's comment. Classic!!!

Indecision Tantrum. That's good. Ours are usually I-can-do-it-why-aren't-you-helping-me sort.
