- 2 vegans
- 2 low-fat/low-carb dieters
- 2 small children
- 1 vegetarian
- 1 diabetic
- 1 pregnant woman whose stomach has a mind of its own (not a rational mind either)
*P.S. My husband (the special-occasion chef in the MM household) has a whole spreadsheet of the meals he is preparing for this crew. If you have need of any festive vegan recipe suggestions, we stand ready to assist.
P.P.S. Re my last post, it looks like I probably overreacted to the NT measurement I (thought I) saw. The result was normal (although at the upper edge of the accepted range). I feel much better now. And pledge not to abuse Google any further.

Can you freeze the steaks to use later? That sounds like you're going to have quite the variety of food for your holiday festivities!
Mmmmm. Steak. We only get a steak about once a year on Father's Day.
Glad the results were normal.
Enjoy the steaks! Have a wonderful holiday.
So, who is going to eat the steaks? Does Jeff eat meat?
I love the irony. And you, might as well eat a bite or two for the iron. Heh.
Phew on the NT results. Next up, quad screen!
Now I want steak too. . . .
Ha! Very amusing. Have fun with all that variety!
Thank goodness about NT. I skipped that test b/c I knew I would only worry either way -- it means something if it's high, it's probably wrong if it tells me he's fine. HA. Yes, I'm insane.
Anyway. Glad yours came out okay. LOL on spreadsheet for holiday dinner.

That sounds like something that would happen to us. Glad they enjoyed the "smoke!"
p.s. I have an entire page devoted to my nuchal screen experience. My numbers came back higher for my age average and it FREAKED me out. All was well...but just don't ever consult Google!
Glad to hear the NT numbers were normal. I had an NT done with the last pregnancy which I hadn't had done with the first two. It was a fascinating experience... and too bad that it had to be funded out of pocket!
And be careful with Google. You can end up with a brain tumour and 5 other incurable diseases before you know it!
Phew, glad results were normal. But I can relate to googling every bit of info--good or bad--that I received from my pre-natal appts. Those prenatal tests totally freaked me out.
Those pictures look like some mad scientist experiment!
I'm glad the results are normal!
So who will eat the steaks? Feel free to send them to me. ;-)
Merry Christmas!
Tell me, is Jeff the vegan? And, if so, does his mom send the steak out of some sense of outrage?
Love the mystique of the packaging.
