Lesson learned: Prior to spending $30 on a replacement remote control, do a toddler mindmeld to figure out where original remote has been safely stashed.

LOL! Yes, the elusive remote. We are constantly losing ours and I always look under the couch cushions first. But that is a great hiding spot! ;)
It's good to have a spare -- you never know when one will just mysteriously disappear! I have spent inordinate amounts of time trying to find things that my daughter has hidden; keys in particular are a big theft item around my house.
Ada likes to hide the remote (and everything else) in the drawer under the oven. I'm going to have to remember this post when she gets a bit taller and her hiding places expand.
I would have torn the house apart and driven myself absolutely crazy trying to find that remote. The pitcher is really pretty. How have they not broken it?
Hehehhe! I have a friend who would always have to have extra remotes on hand just in case because thier child would always rip and/or eat all the buttons off of them. LOL

Spares are good. And I would never have thought to look in the pitcher. I'm impressed that he was able to place it in there so carefully.

This would often happen with my jewelry.
