Yesterday was a pretty average Saturday. My parents were visiting and we walked downtown to the farmer's market and the bakery. We played outside with the neighbor kids. We ate dinner and gave the kids a bath and put on their jammies. Then we walked over to another neighbor's backyard for a performance like this:
The neighbors have a new foreign exchange student and this is her hobby. Performances nightly!
(That's not her -- I didn't want to show up toting a videocamera -- but it's similar to what she did.)

Wow. Talk about introducing some cultural diversity into your neighborhood!
My, my, my. Where is she from? And I hope their insurance is up to date.
Hmm, I just read a novel in which the main character (a clown) is practicing juggling fire, and sets her yard on fire. Hopefully the student has better luck that the character in the book!
Wow. That's amazing! I think I'd be very afraid to try that!
That is a really cool hobby!
Wow! We just have the usual kids skate boarding and jumping on trampolines. ;)
All my neighbors have is a dog that craps in my yard.
Wow! I'd be visiting to see the show often.
SwingDaddy has juggling clubs that can be lit on fire, but we haven't had occasion to bring those out in a while. Gee, I wonder why.
Wow! Where is she from?
Patois and Magpie - she is from Belgium. I am pretty sure this is not a cultural tradition that originated there, unless the bolas were originally used to make frites ...
wow ... that is beautiful! Do you have a bucket of water handy, just in case? ha~
